E Schools
The Govt in Tribal Welfare Department has accorded administrative sanction for e- Schools project in (50) TW Ashram Schools vide Govt Memo Rc. No. 6014/TW.Bud & Edn. A1/2017-5, Dt: 15.11.2017 through TSTS.
Main Objective of E- Schools
- Providing advanced satellite based education in Mathematics, Science and English to Tribal Students of Class 5 to 10 through Tele Education – “Satellite and Advanced Multimedia Education” (SAME) across Telangana.
- SAME provides LIVE and interactive education enriched with Multimedia content. Best of the faculty and subject matter experts deliver the education from broad casting studio in the real time.
Concept of e- Schools
- E Schools is being implemented for all students studying in Classes V to X in (50) Tribal Welfare Ashram Schools.
- In Hyderabad, (1) studio is set up at DSS Bhavan, Masabtank, Hyderabad.
- The best teacher are teaching from the studio in Hyderabad and it is telecasted live in all the (50) institutions.
- All the institutions are provided necessary equipment for receiving the live classes / sessions.
- All the necessary software and hardware for implementing “e-schools” is supplied to all (50) institutions.
- As a part of e-schools Tab Labs has been started in all the (50) Schools and (30) Tabs are supplied to (50) institutions.
- The classes would be interactive and it would also be possible for the students and teachers of TW institutions to interact with the subject teacher.
- Video & Audio lesson taught would be stored in a repository and it would be possible for the teachers and students to view the lessons at a later date.
- The Govt in TWD has also accorded permission for setting up of e- schools in (50) TW Ashram Schools during 2nd phase vide Govt Memo Rc. No. 6014/TW.Bud & Edn. A1/2017-7, Dt: 21.08.2018 and TSTS has floated tenders for the same.
- During 2019-20, this office has furnished proposal for setting up of e- schools in TW Ashram Schools with the funds available under SCA to TSS with MoTA, GOI and MoTA, GOI has agreed for the same and approved for release of an amount of Rs. 1.00 Crore. Accordingly, this office has issued administrative sanction for the same and floating of tenders by TSTS is under progress.
- Further, this office has also furnished proposal for setting up of (100) e- schools in (100) TW Ashram Schools with the additional funds available under SCA to TSS with MoTA, GOI
